Donate a timeline

Step 1 of 4

A timeline from your browser to the world

Find a missing topic.Check the catalog so your contribution adds something new.
Generate with your API credits.Use an OpenAI, Anthropic, or OpenRouter key. The estimated maximum is $4 for one generation; you pay for the tokens used.
Read it, then share it.Review the timeline and its Wikipedia sources, add your name or a message if you like, and submit it when you are happy with it.

Your key stays with you

Your browser sends your key directly to the provider. We never receive or save it. It is cleared after the generation attempt, before the bot check loads.

Only completed drafts are saved in this tab, so a reload does not lose them. When you submit, the site checks the timeline. Passing submissions appear as awaiting editorial review; flagged ones are held for the editor.

A few things to know

Use a temporary API key with a spending limit. Browser extensions can read what you type. Your provider handles the prompt and response under its own data policies.

Donations are anonymous unless you add a name or message when you submit. The editor chooses which timelines join the catalog. Unreviewed submissions expire after 30 days if shown, or 7 days if held.

Step 2 of 4

What is missing?

Check whether your topic already has a timeline, including under another name. You can also browse all timelines (opens in a new tab).

Your topic

One topic, such as “the Hanseatic League” or “Ada Lovelace”. We will call it “Timeline of …”.

Loading the catalog…
